FAQs

  • It’s easy! We are releasing tagged bass throughout Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie. Be registered, catch a tagged bass and get paid!

  • The tournament will take place on Santee Cooper. There will be 200 tagged bass released throughout Lake Moultrie and Lake Marion.

  • You must use a traditional rod and reel. Other methods like trot lines, snagging, yo-yos, gill nets, hoop nets, or shocking are not allowed.

  • Thanks for wanting to be a sponsor! All you have to do is visit the “Sponsors” tab on the top and view the different sponsorship options. If none of those work for you, please contact us!

  • You may start registering fish caught on March 5th 2025 and the tournament ends at midnight on June 1st 2025.

  • No! You only need to clip the Bonus Bass tag from the fish and snap a picture. You then can upload the picture to the online portal or text 978-500-9805 to register your catch.

  • Yes! You must be registered prior to catching a tagged fish. Tagged fish can only be entered by registered anglers. For registration, please visit the registration tab!

  • Pluck the tag from the fish and register the pictures of the tag on www.bonusbass.com

  • Please notify us at 978-500-9805 in order for us to get another tagged fish released.

  • Continue your tournament. If you cull that fish just pluck the tag from the fish and register it after tournament hours.

  • After your initial purchase, you will be prompted with a “Thanks for Registering” page. To access the content displayed on this page, you just click on ‘Account’ at the top of the page & select ‘Angler Homepage’. You will then have access to the conten!

  • On the opening day of the tournament the Bonus for a tagged fish is $100. Every day the Bonus goes up $100. If a tag is turned in on day 7 the angler earns $700. The next day the Bonus starts over at $100.

    If multiple anglers turn a fish in on the same day the Bonus is split evenly.

    You may hold on to a tag and submit it when you choose.

  • Bonus Bass has a sealed envelope with one tag number inside. At the end of the event the angler that submits the most tagged fish will choose one tag to see if it is a match. A match will pay out $25,000.

    As participation grows Bonus Bass may permit more tags to be submitted for the grand prize.
